Lush Reviews

I've bought tons of Lush lately, way too much actually, and also got some freebies as well...

Herbalism Cleanser
Smell is 4 out of 5 after a week... It's very strong at first, but it grew on me
Price- didn't pay for it, but 3 out of 5 for if you do
Does it work? - For me, yes. Made my skin barely dry, but it didn't give me acne.

Angels on Bareskin
Smell is, not that noticeable, so a 4 out of 5
Price- Another freebie! But, you can pay for as much as you want... but Lush is expensive in general so a 3 out of 5...
Does it Work? - Yes, it was less drying then the herbalism, and easier to put on and take off.

Bath Melts...
Waste of money! Cost too much for too little, only the slightest of difference in the bathwater, which I wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't been looking for it.

Sex in the Shower Emotibomb
Smell- I can't even describe it, but it's described on Lush.com as being "ginger scented" 5 out a 5. My sister in law, however, would have given it a 1.
Price- If broken up for multi-use 4 out of 5, a nice luxury item
The scent lasts through most of the shower, and is a nice relaxer.

Karma soap
Smell- masculine, patchouli and orange. Good, but...
Price- 3 out of 5, it's simply not good enough for me to spend $8 for 3.5 oz of it
Lathers- Okay, not as good as store soaps though.
Moisturizes- Once again, store soaps do it better.

Sea Vegetable Soap
Smell- Feminine, "lavender and lime"
Price- 4 out of 5
Lathers- okay...
Moisturizes- no more then most soaps for me, didn't leave my legs overly dry though (3-5)
But...- The seaweed on the soap breaks off, leaving little black bits all over your body. Being natural, it makes sense, but it takes time to pick off the lil bits.

Curly Wurly Shampoo
Smell- 2 out of 5, I've smelled better store bought
Price- $20 for one bottle! (GET A SAMPLE!!!)
Does it work?- Who cares? This stuff is grody. It has chunks of coconut in it, which you need to pick out of your hair piece by piece. Site says lather and rinse- i say toss it in the trash. Otherwise, check the forums for how to use it without it being a big mess

Sweet Japanese Girl Cleanser
Smell- 5 out of 5
Price- 2 out of 5, split her face and it's a great price though
Is it good- ... it's a pain. Apparently meant for blackheads, it doesn't lather and leaves an oily residue that must be taken off with toner or something else (such as a face mask)

Ultra Bland Cleanser
Smell- 4 out of 5, there is no smell
Price- 1 out of 5... $15 for 1.5 oz
Texture - thick, smooth, no chunks or funny gunk
Is it good- It felt similar to St. Ives Makeup Remover & Facial Cleanser ($8). It's literally nothing special if you don't prescribe to an all-natural cosmetics.

Each Peach (and two's a pair) Massage Bar
Smell- fruity, flowery fun and feminine
Price- $9, 4 out of 5
Moisturizes- Well, but takes awhile to get it warm enough to glide on your skin, and I have yet to force my fiance to use it on me :D

Catastrophe Cosmetic Mask
Smell- Blueberry fun
Price- $8, 5 out of 5 for a once every 2 month treat
Works- Goes on easy, smells and tastes yummy, just make sure you wash the blueberry skins off of your skin. Moisturizes okay, didn't make worse/better my rosacea
CONS- lasts only 2 weeks, and you can't use that much in two weeks unless you overuse it - share it with a friend...
